PEM Electrolyzer

PEM Electrolyzer

PEM electrolyzer, also known as a proton exchange membrane electrolyzer, is a device that uses an electrolysis process to split water into hydrogen and oxygen. It consists of an electrolyte membrane, usually made of a polymer material, that allows protons to pass through while preventing electrons from passing through. When an electric current is applied to the electrolyzer, the water molecules are dissociated into hydrogen ions (protons) and oxygen ions. Protons migrate through the membrane to the cathode, where they combine with electrons to form hydrogen gas. The oxygen ions migrate to the anode, where they combine with electrons to form oxygen.

Tankii PEM electrolyzer has the following advantages:

1. Efficiency: High energy conversion efficiency, which means that they can convert a larger portion of energy electricity into hydrogen.

2. Quick start and stop: Quick start and stop, allowing for flexible operation and better integration with intermittent renewable energy.

3. Compact and lightweight: The compact and lightweight design makes it suitable for a variety of applications, including portable and mobile hydrogen production systems, and the small size also allows for easier installation and integration into existing infrastructure.

4. High purity hydrogen: high purity hydrogen, usually more than 99.99% purity. This makes the hydrogen produced suitable for a variety of applications, including fuel cells and industrial processes that require clean and pure hydrogen.

5. Safety: Operating at low pressure and low temperature, it reduces the risk of accidents and makes it safer compared to other electrolytic cell technologies.

6. Scalability: Easily scaled up or down to meet different hydrogen production requirements. This scalability makes them suitable for a wide variety of application industrial facilities, from small distributed systems to large scale.
